Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
Rewire Coaching FZCO ("Rewire", "we", "us", or "our") builds science-backed breathwork, meditation and manifestation experiences. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Rewire mobile app and therewireapp.com (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you consent to this policy. We've tried to keep it readable. If anything is unclear, contact us at hello@therewireapp.co.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details - your name, email address, and date of birth when you create an account.
- Content you create - journal entries, check-in responses, saved sessions, and any preferences you set inside the app.
- Community content - posts, comments, and messages you choose to share in the Rewire community, along with the display name you set for them.
- Communications - messages you send to our support team, including through the contact form on this website.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data - sessions played, streaks, time in app, and feature interactions, used to personalise your recommendations.
- Device and log data - device model, operating system version, app version, language, general (non-precise) region, IP address, and standard server logs, used for security, diagnostics, and to keep the Service working.
Health & sensitive data
If you choose to connect Apple Health, we access only the metrics you explicitly authorise (for example heart-rate variability or sleep) to tailor sessions. This data stays on your device or is processed solely to provide the feature, is never sold, and you can revoke access at any time in your device settings. Journal entries you write are treated as private content.
The health & safety acknowledgement
Before your first breathwork session you accept our Breathwork Health & Safety Acknowledgement. We record only the fact and time of your acceptance against your account. You are not asked to declare any health condition, and we do not collect or store any information about your health as part of this acknowledgement.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, personalise, and improve the Service and your recommendations.
- To create and secure your account and process your subscription.
- To operate community features you choose to take part in.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To send service and (with your consent) marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service); your consent (for optional features such as Apple Health and marketing); our legitimate interests (to improve and secure the Service); and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time.
4. Community visibility
Content you post in the community, together with your display name, is visible to other Rewire members. Journal entries, check-ins, and progress data are private to you. You control your display name and community messaging preferences in the app's settings, and you can delete your own posts.
5. Cookies & website analytics
Our website uses only the essential cookies and local storage needed for it to function; we don't run third-party advertising cookies or sell browsing data. If we introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies in future, we'll ask for your consent first where the law requires it. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (hosting, analytics, email delivery, customer support, and crash reporting) under contracts that require them to protect it.
- Payment processors - subscriptions are handled by the Apple App Store or our website's payment provider; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Legal and safety reasons, where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers - if Rewire is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with continued protection of your information.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information. Where the GDPR applies (including the UK GDPR), these include the right to:
- Access - request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification - ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure - ask us to delete your personal data.
- Restriction - ask us to limit how we process your data.
- Portability - receive your data in a portable format, or have it transferred to another provider.
- Objection - object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
California residents have comparable rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and correct, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we don't sell or share it in that sense). You can exercise any of these rights - including deleting your account and data - from within the app or by emailing hello@therewireapp.co. We'll respond within the timescales required by law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the relevant authorities of significant incidents where required by law.
10. Children
Rewire is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
